History
Turkey is surrounded by natural beauty between the two populous cities of Ankara and Istanbul, Abant Izzet Baysal University, which is one of the most prestigious universities in our country was founded on July 3, 1992.. Plenty of our rapidly growing university town since that date and the three districts (Gerede, Mengen, Mudurnu) has campuses. Izzet Baysal University Campus which is our main campus in the city center of Bolu Gölköy 8 km away, is located in a unique natural beauty.




University currently has 10 faculties, 4 institutes, 6 colleges, there are 7 vocational schools and 11 research centers. 900 faculty members who work in these units and 550 administrative staff of the University is proud to offer high quality and modern education environment to approximately 25,000 students.

Abant Izzet Baysal University, the foundation of our country, state and private universities in the state-supported university constitutes a third model. Abant Izzet Baysal University, a state university that today its inception, backed by Turkey, which is one of the largest charitable foundations established by Izzet Baysal's.
